Memphis, Tenn. (PRWEB) March 30, 2010 --WyreStorm, a leader in quality and affordable HDMI equipment (http://www.wyrestorm.com) and connectivity, is proud to introduce its new 16 X 16 HDMI Matrix. The 16 X 16 HDMI Matrix (http://www.wyrestorm.com/HDMI_Matrix_Products_s/46.htm) product is the first ever 16 X 16 HDMI component to be released commercially and represents WyreStorm’s commitment to creating top-of-the-line home theater products.
The new matrix is great for both residential and commercial use by providing the perfect solution for multi-room and multi-display HD signal disbursement.
The new WyreStorm MAT16T16 matrix is capable of 16 individual HDMI audio/video inputs and 16 HDMI audio/video outputs plus 16 UTP (Cat5e/6) outputs. The UTP outputs support both dual and single UTP HDMI transmissions. The 16 UTP outputs are mirror images of the HDMI outputs giving the ability to distribute 32 HD signals to 32 HD displays using 16 different sources.
”We have released a superior solution to multi-location HD signal routing with the quality and support you have come to associate with WyreStorm,” said Scott Fuelling, WyreStorm president. “We heard the industry cry for a larger routing matrix that comes with the ease of use of a smaller residential matrix and a commercial work horse.”
Other features for the WyreStorm 16 X 16 Matrix include but are not limited to; an EDID function that reads and saves the EDID information from displays allowing for faster switching between inputs as well as optimal compatibility for many different resolutions, all standard video outputs including 1080p and 1920 x 1200, seven switching modes (manual buttons, touch panel, local IR, IR reception from displays, RS232, RS485, and IP), three memory modes to save different EDID settings curing any lossless audio routing issues, source signal preview capabilities, and a output-port monitor.
All of WyreStorm products are HDMI certified and HDCP compliant and drivers for different control systems are available at www.wyrestorm.com.

What is HDMI?
HDMI, or high definition multimedia interface, is a type of audio and video interface that is used for the transmission of uncompressed digital streams. Essentially, HDMI can be considered an alternative method to transmitting data streams, rather than making use of conventional methods such as coaxial cabling, VGA, or component video equipment.
Deep Color HDMI Transmitter with CEC Reduces HDTV Entertainment System Cost and Complexity : Analog Devices' ADV7510 Deep Color HDMI transmitte
Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) today introduced the industry’s first Deep Color HDMI™ (High-Definition Multimedia Interface™) transmitter to integrate a CEC (consumer electronic control) controller and buffer for high-definition (HD) audio/video devices. As the newest addition to ADI’s Advantiv® advanced television solutions portfolio, the highly-integrated ADV7510 Deep Color HDMI transmitter with CEC reduces component count, eases design complexity and reduces time-to-market for audio/video receivers (AVRs), Blu-ray™ DVD players, high-performance set-top boxes, digital video recorders (DVRs), computers and video game consoles. Unlike competitive offerings that require a separate CEC controller, the ADV7510 ...
DVI to Component Cable
A few people each day are looking for an interconnection solution by attempting to connect HDMI to Component outputs via a high-definition equipment cable line. But it's not simply a matter of straightening out your cables or buying a new type of wire. It has been found that a fundamental analog versus digital incompatibility problem exists which is identical to the growing digital broadcast TV switchover against your existing rabbit ears that accept signals from analog broadcasters. They are incompatible and hence tend to make people confused, just like the guy in the advertisements.
